1. Run and Observe
  2. Use the TUI and local webhooks

Terminal UI

Launch the Textual terminal UI against a running local operator:

uv run ava tui --connect localhost:7433

The connected TUI is a client of the operator’s gRPC state. It does not discover workflow modules, execute nodes, or manage Ray itself.

For local UI development without an operator, launch mock mode:

uv run ava tui

The command also accepts an optional flow or flow/node deep link and TLS configuration flags for a configured gRPC connection.

Local webhooks

Workflow descriptors can declare webhook routes. When at least one route exists, the operator starts a loopback JSON webhook ingress on port 7434 by default. A valid JSON POST body becomes workflow input and receives an accepted run ID.

Inspect the routes discovered by the current operator:

uv run ava webhooks list --connect localhost:7433
uv run ava webhooks get workflow_name --connect localhost:7433

Treat webhook ingress as a local development interface. The operator’s loopback server does not provide a production authentication or deployment boundary.

For workflow discovery and browser-based run control, see the local operator guide.
